Captain's Dinner

Hello!

My sweet friend Korina from Athens, Greece invited me to a special dinner. On April 7, a classic 5 course Greek dinner was cooked by our Master Captain Kostas Siamantas. The menu consisted of the following accompanied by champagne, white and red wine:
Appetizer—Shrimp with Feta Cheese: Pan seared shrimps in homemade tomato ragout gratinated with feta cheese
From the Soup Kettle—Fasolatha: White bean soup with diced carrots & celery
Salad—Traditional Greed Salad
Entrée—Moussaka: Layers of minced beef & pork cooked in tomato sauce with eggplants, zucchini & potatoes baked with béchamel sauce
Dessert—Baklava: Layers of filo dough filled with sweetened almonds accompanied with honey syrup

We got to interact with Captain Kostas on a more personal level. Each shipmate and I had the opportunity to ask questions and tell stories. I loved hearing the many stories told by our Master. I am extremely thankful for this memorable experience. We received a copy of the unique menu with Captain’s signature.
Enjoy the photos ☺

Love Always,
